After completing my Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia in 2011 my first professional role was in a boutique design landscape architecture firm in Chattanooga named
Craig Design Group. This is one of the most in-depth projects I produced in this profession, starting from concept sketch, to the municipality and client approval, to the construction detailing of every
the aspect of the design according to the Residence Inn or Hampton Inn design standard. Designing a luxury hotel courtyard with an outdoor pool and lounge space required studying the competition locally and creating a signature design look. This is the first project where I mastered the construction documentation of landscape architecture projects, producing; Hardscape /Drainage, Planting, Furniture, Lighting, and Irrigation plans with the construction detailing of the swimming pool, fireplace and pergola.
